PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable FRP molded object well following an uneven shape, capable of inexpensively forming a predetermined pattern and capable of clearly forming the boundary line of the pattern. SOLUTION: An FRP molded object is obtained by laminating a sheet molding compound or bulk molding compound on a prepreg sheet, which is formed by impregnating an organic fiber nonwoven fabric, containing no cellulose component, to which a predetermined pattern is preliminarily applied, with a thermosetting composition through a heat-resistance fiber reinforcing material and heating the formed laminate under pressure. The outer shape of the heat- registant fiber reinforcing material is set so as to be made smaller than that of the prepreg sheet by a predetermined dimension and the part corresponding to the gloss part of the surface of the molded object of the heat-resistant fiber reinforcing material is preliminarily cut off.
