PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of keeping the reliability of a water level detector by preventing washing water and the foam of detergent from being leaked to the outside of the dishwasher. SOLUTION: The water level detector comprising a floating chamber 29 is provided on the side surface of a washing tank 1, a water conducting port 30 is provided to the chamber 29 and a water conducting port 31 positioning above this port 30 is provided. Thus, the foam of the detergent generated in the tank 1, which has entered the chamber 29, can be made to flow into the tank 1 from a return port 31. Thus, the leakage of foam to the outside from the chamber 29 is prevented to prevent causing of the fault of the water level detector, or the like, thereby the dishwasher having the reliable water level detector is obtained.
