PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grill which has a grill tray to be placed with the materials to be cooked within a grill housing, to be housed in the bottom of the grill housing while existing below the grill and a temperature sensor for detecting the outer peripheral surface temperature of this grill gray and is constituted to detect the fall of the water level of the grill tray down to a prescribed water level of or below with the temperature sensor, to make the time before the operation of the temperature sensor longer and to make the amount of the water remaining in the grill tray smaller by allowing the water to remain only in the peripheral region in the part of the grill tray arranged with the sensor when the temperature sensor operates. SOLUTION: The sensor abutment part of the grill tray bottom plate on which the temperature sensor abuts is set at a position higher than the base surface of the grill tray on the rear side of the grill housing and the top surface of approximately half on the front of the grill housing is made flush with the height at the top surface of the sensor abutment part described above, by which the peripheral region of the sensor abutment part of the tray bottom plate is formed lower by one stage.
