POLYESTER-BASED FILM FOR LAMINATING METAL PLATE, FILM- LAMINATED METAL PLATE AND METAL CAN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester-based film excellent in heat resistance, capable of stably covering the surface of metal plates even after passing through heat history in a canning step or the like, excellent in barrier property and corrosion resistance and preferably usable as a material for making metal cans for foodstuffs, to obtain a film-laminated metal plate excellent in canning treatment and to obtain a metal can excellent in corrosion resistance and preservation of food content. SOLUTION: This film is characterized by having <=0.45 coefficient of dynamic friction of the film surface at 80 deg.C and containing <=0.70 wt.% ethylene terephthalate cyclic trimer in the film when the film is laminated on one side of the metal plate consisting of tin free steel to form a laminated metal plate and the film is also characterized by having <=2.0% rate of dimensional change when the laminated metal plate is heat-treated at 210 deg.C for 2 min.
