PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems on a conventional wet multi-disc brake using a scale seal or the like to prevent the entry of dust and protect an oil seal or using a dust lip provided on the seal itself to prevent the entry of dust into a seal lip, that a large space in the axial direction is required if the scale seal is used, because two seals are arranged, and an allowance in the axial direction is required for arrangement even if the dust lip is provided on the seal itself, and to provide an applicable construction for preventing the entry of dust into the lip face of the seal, on which the ordinary seal is mounted, even if there is no arrangement allowance in the axial direction. SOLUTION: A wet brake having a forcibly cooling system comprises a seal housing 3 with a flange portion having an outer diameter larger than that of an outer gear housing 7 and a circular plate 1 mounted on the seal housing 3 so as to cover the outside of a seal 4 or formed in a combined structure as required.
