STORING METHOD FOR STRIP MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liner from jumping out of a designated position in storing the liner in a spool, and from being bent or folded. SOLUTION: The liner 12 from a liner spool 13 is fed out to the spool 14 through a liner feeder 8, and the fed liner 12 is wound round the spool 4 and stored. The liner 12 is formed to be arched in section by a preliminary forming device 32 of the feeder 8 to reduce the effective width of the liner before being wound round the spool 4. The preliminary forming device 32 can be rotated round the axis parallel to the axis of the spool 4. The axis of rotation of the preliminary forming device 32 is moved while the liner 12 is taken up to keep the axis of rotation of the preliminary forming device 32 parallel to the spool 4.
