摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a spherical sliding bearing made wholly of titanium alloy, using industrial titanium alloy. SOLUTION: The spherical sliding bearing made wholly of titanium alloy is formed by a drawing step of plastically deforming cylindrical outer races 1 along respective spherical surfaces 2a of an inner race 2 by use of a drawing die which makes a pair of inner spherical surfaces travel close to each other and a releasing step of turning respective outer peripheral surfaces 1b of the outer races 1 plastically deformed in the drawing step while applying pressure thereto to release internal residual stress by use of a releasing machine equipped with a plurality of rollers. Sliding thus occurs between respective edges 6 of the outer races 1 and the pair of inner spherical surfaces, and the outer races 1 become plastically deformed along the respective spherical surfaces 2a of the inner race 2, so that the spherical sliding bearing made wholly of titanium alloy and using the industrial titanium alloy can be formed.
