<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable laser beam machine capable of preventing the inner part of a protective casing body or the like from being erroneously irradiated with laser beams when an optical fiber does not pass through a fiber outlet provided in the protective casing body. SOLUTION: The laser beam machine is provided with a laser resonator 2, the optical fiber 19 which forms a part of a laser optical path system guiding the laser beams 8 exited from the laser resonator 2 up to a workpiece, an optical fiber connector A17 which is connected to the optical fiber 19 and which makes incident on the optical fiber 19 the laser beams 8 exited from the laser resonator 2, the protective casing body 1 which covers the laser resonator 2, the optical fiber connector A17 and a part of the optical fiber 19, a sensor 24 as a fiber passage detecting means which is provided in the partition of the protective casing body 1, which has a penetrating/opening part 25 making the optical fiber 19 penetrate the protective casing body 1 from the inside to the outside and which detects the surface of the optical fiber 19, and a laser controller which performs control relating to the laser output or an alarm output based on the detected signals outputted from the sensor 24.</p> |
