PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR device capable of preventing coolant leaked from an EGR cooler from flowing into a cylinder to avoid damage to an engine in advance. SOLUTION: This EGR device is to water-cool part of exhaust gas 12 introduced from exhaust side of the engine 1 by the EGR cooler 15 for recirculating into suction side. An overflow 23 to drain leakage from the EGR cooler 15 is formed on the lowest point (bottom of a manifold 11 in the illustrated example) in a recirculation system of the exhaust gas 12 to mount a sealing means 24 that closes tightly by back pressure for giving sealability and opens slightly with a loss of the back pressure for losing sealability on the overflow 23.
