PARTIAL PAD TYPE DISC BRAKE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the guidance of a brake pad and a floating caliper in a brake holder fixed to a vehicle for avoiding undesired rattling noises as well as for easily guiding the floating caliper. SOLUTION: A partial pad type disc brake for an automobile comprises the floating caliper 2 slidably supported by the brake holder 1 fixed to the vehicle to encircle a brake disc and brake pads 7, 8 arranged at both sides of the brake disc, the brake pad 7, 8 being slidably guided in the brake holder 1 in the axial direction. At least one brake pad 7 is fixed into the brake holder 1 in the radial direction and the floating caliper 2 is supported by the brake pad 7 in the radial direction.
