PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a silent chain transmission gear and reduce abrasion of a sliding means of a silent chain. SOLUTION: This silent chain transmission gear 1 has an endless silent chain 4, a sprocket, and a sliding means 5 abutted against the silent chain. The silent chain has an inner link plate row 15 endlessly arranged by connecting a number of inner link plates 8 each having teeth 8 by means of a pin 14, and a guide link plate 7 having edges 7a connected by the pin together with the inner link plate low for preventing escape from the inner link plate from the sprocket. Flat surfaces 11, 9 are formed on fronts of the teeth and edges for mating the fronts with each other. The sliding means is arranged within a circulating area of the silent chain, while a guide part 6 is formed on the sliding means so as to be in contact with the flat surface.
