METHOD OF FLASH BUTT WELDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of flash butt welding which gives a welded zone of high quality by preventing the generation of a gap on joined faces as far as possible in a flash butt welding where members having a large sectional area and having high temperature are used as a welded members. SOLUTION: An upset is performed by keeping joining faces non-parallel with each other by giving a predetermined deviation to a member-clamping mechanism for welded members in the process of upsetting for a flash butt welding.
