A system for providing cellular network (26) access to a land-line telephone connected to premises wiring (16) having a first telephone-line and a second telephone-line includes a land-line interface for connection to at most the first telephone-line of the premises wiring. The system also includes a cellular-telephone interface (20a) for connection to a cellular telephone (22a) having access to the cellular network (26), and a controller establishes an audio connection between the cellular-telephone interface and the land-line interface in response to status information provided to the controller by the cellular interface and the land-line interface. |
