PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a specification slip which has the same aspect ratio as and the size half as large as a specification of a routine size to be issued using the same format as the specification slip of the routine size. SOLUTION: A 90 deg. rotated font ROM 24 is provided which rotates 90 deg. and stores font of such a size as to fit to a specification slip whose size is half as large as the routine size as data for the font to be printed on the specification slip and also stores a format for every transaction which is suitable for the half-size specification slip. The specification slip has its long side length√2 times its short side length and the half-size specification slip is obtained by cutting in halves the long side of the routine-size specification slip. Further, the printing process is performed using data stored in the 90 deg. rotated font ROM 24.
