PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a multi-layer type cylindrical unit of a storage tank and the multi-layer type cylindrical unit manufactured thereby are provided to supply the integrated multi-layer type cylindrical unit having an excellent structural rigidity and relatively wide welded part, and a space for filling thermal insulation material. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a multi-layer type cylindrical unit of a storage tank includes first, second, and third strip feeders(200,210,220) coupled with a lower structure body(100) for simultaneously rotating each turntable mounting a stainless strip coil, an insulating materials strip coil, and an iron strip coil by receiving power in first and third large electric motors(830,832) and first and second chain/gear connection parts installed inside the lower structure body, wherein the first, second, and third strip feeders respectively transfer each strip from the strip coils to a roller leveler(300).
