The module consists of a hollow block (2) made from resin concrete, having an open back (6) and walls (8, 10, 12, 14, 16) which form a container to receive earth. The upper and lower walls (8, 10) are of different depths, the upper one forming the tread of a step and the lower one being fastened to the tread of the step below by pegs. The side walls have apertures (28) in them for easier filling with earth.
