PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment process of high concentration total phosphorus using porous ceramic is provided, which can reduce the turbidity of 950 NTU to zero NTU and 115-170 ppm of total phosphorus by 88 % in two weeks by using porous ceramic of 3-10cm length of regular hexahedron. CONSTITUTION: The system is as follows: (i) an aeration tank in which air is aerated; (ii) a adsorption tank that is set downstream of the aeration tank, in which porous ceramic is packed for removing total phosphorus contained in wastewater that contains high concentration total phosphorus of 100-200 mg per liter, the ceramic being made of 50 % of SiO2, 25 % of CaO, 10 % of Al2O3 and 15 % of the balance; and (iii) a storage tank for storing the treated waster, a part of the treated water being recirculated to the aeration tank.
