PURPOSE: An illumination apparatus utilizing solar light is provided to decrease energy consumption and environmental contamination by generating power through utilization of solar light, while eliminating the necessity of using incandescent lamp or fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION: An illumination apparatus comprises a light collecting unit(10) having a front plate for receiving solar light, a collecting plate(12) installed at the inner center of the front plate and which collects solar light onto a point, and a case(16) for supporting the front plate and which is coated with material for reflecting solar light; a light dividing unit(20) having a mirror(22) for refracting the solar light incident from the light collecting unit, and a motor for rotating the mirror; a light transmitting unit(30) having a focusing lens(32) for focusing solar light incident from the light dividing unit, an optical fiber(36) serving as an optical transmission line, and a connection section(34) for fixing the focusing lens and the optical fiber; an illumination unit(40) having an accommodation section(42) for accommodating the optical fiber, and an irregular reflection lens(44) connected to the accommodation section so as to scatter the solar light incident through the optical fiber; and a motor control unit for adjusting the direction of the light collecting unit in an optimized manner according to the solar position.
