PURPOSE: An apparatus for closing and opening an umbrella typed fishing net is provided to reduce the cost of installation relative to typical fishing equipment, and to increase a fish catch. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for closing and opening an umbrella typed fishing net includes an umbrella rib(13) comprised of an umbrella actuating part on an umbrella strut(11), and an umbrella rib arranged in parallel on the umbrella actuating part so that the ends of the ribs are connected to the top of the strut. A rope(15,15') is provided to space the umbrella ribs at regular distances, and another rope is provided to fold the lower part of the net. A pulley for the ropes is provided to facilitate the smooth acting of the ropes, and a pulley is provided to open and close the umbrella ribs. A rail is installed on the umbrella strut, and a roller is installed on the umbrella actuating part in parallel. Also, a wheel(7) for spreading an umbrella, and a wheel(8) for folding the umbrella are provided.
