Sheet paper guides are used during the reversing process on printing machines when the rear edge of the paper sheet is removed from the leading printing cylinder. During the reversing stage, care is taken to ensure that the sheet paper is not greased as it is taken through the guide device, this process being largely conducted via an air-cushion baffle (9) which consists of a mainly straight surface (9.1), a transition zone (9.2) and a mainly curved section (9.3), as viewed in the direction of the paper feed path (8). A blower tube (10) is arranged in the transition zone of the air-cushion baffle (9).
