PURPOSE: To provide a pressure sensitive breaker for a battery capable of being used without problems for a polymer-lithium secondary battery, etc., having a flexible battery case made of laminated film, etc., with satisfactory assembling workability. CONSTITUTION: In an inner surface of a battery pack 1, a recessed part 3 is formed in a position confronting a side surface 2d of a battery case 2a of a battery 2, and the recessed part 3 is provided with a first terminal 5a connected to an external terminal 5 of the battery pack 1 and a second terminal 6 connected to the battery case 2a, one electrode of the battery. An electrical path made up of a conductive part 7a is formed on a surface of an element 7, and both end parts of the conductive part 7a are connected to the first and second terminals 5a, 6. When an internal pressure in the battery 2 exceeds a fixed value, the side surface 2d of the battery case 2a is deflected toward the recessed part 3 to deform the element 7 to a rupture toward the recessed part 3, and the rupture of the element cuts off the electrical path, thus providing a pressure sensitive breaker for a battery. |
