The invention relates to a laundry bag comprising at least one spreading element (3) having at least one suspension component (5). The inventive bag also comprises a filling or removal opening (2) which is embodied in a slit- shaped manner and extends essentially in the vertical direction. The inventi on is characterised in that the length (L) of the filling or removal opening (2 ) amounts to 40 to 69 % of the height (H) of the laundry bag and that the uppe r end of the filling or removal opening (2) is situated at a distance from the upper edge of the inventive bag, whereby said distance is 10 to 20 % of the height (H) pertaining to the laundry bag.
