The invention concerns a laundry bag with at least one expansion element (3) having at least one suspension part (5) and a filling and removal opening (2), which is designed to be slit-like and runs essentially in the vertical direction. The invention is characterized by the fact that the length (L) of the filling or removal opening (2) is 40 to 60% of the height (H) of the laundry bag and that the upper edge of the filling or removal opening (2) is situated at about 10 to 20% of the laundry bag height (H) from its upper edge.
