<p>The warning appts. comprises a warning device for signalling when vehicles travel on one-way streets in the wrong direction. It has a detector (28) to indicate the direction the vehicle is travelling. This controls warning signal transmitters (16,24), which bounce a beam against the vehicle travelling the wrong way. They house a lamp (22) that flashes intermittently and an indicator flashing signal (17). The control signals are chiefly transmitted to the warning signal transmitters via a remote controller (35,37). The flashing lamps (22) will pref. show a red light. Solar energy devices (44,45) are fitted to generate the required current, via storage batteries. USE/ADVANTAGE - Effective for local highway authorities. Reduces road accidents, lessens burdens on local police patrols, efficient power consumption.</p> |
