Antioxidants for oxidatively-drying lacquers consist of a mixture of dioxo compound with a tert. or sec. amine. Antioxidants for oxidatively-drying lacquers consist of a mixture of dioxo compound of formula (I) with a tert. or sec. amine of formula (IIA) or (IIB) respectively. R1 and R2 = 1-8C alkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl; R3 = H or as for R1 and R2; R4 = 1-4C alkyl; R5 = 1-6C alkyl or 2-6C hydroxyalkyl; R6 = 4-20C alkyl, 2-6C hydroxyalkyl or alkaryl; and R7 and R8 = 2-18C alkyl, 2-6C hydroxyalkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl.
