Completing remote transaction in fibre channel node by transmitting message to queue of main store if remote transaction was not successfully completed

Instead of sending back an FCP response frame from an FC port to a main store in an FC node, the FC port determines from the context of the received FCP response frame, if an I/O operation has been successfully completed or not. In the usual case, that the I/O operations are completed successfully, a single bit flag indicates this in a completion message. In the unusual case that the I/O operations are not successfully completed, the FC port orders the FC response frame in a queue at the main store. The signal bit flag is set to indicate that an error has occurred. An Independent claim is included for a fibre channel node.
