<p>A double-bearing type reel comprising (I) a traction position decision means which reciprocates the traction end (38a) of a traction means between an initial position and a maximum traction position according to the direction of rotation of a spool and which travels between the initial and maximum traction positions within a given rpm according to the number of revolution of the spool but holds the traction end in its position after it has reached the initial or maximum traction position, (II) a traction means having a traction end, a free end (41a) and an urging portion (41), (III) a brake control means having a displacement section (51) including a tension accommodating portion (12) and a tractive force accommodating portion for a fishline (3), and a brake control section (53) which follows the displacement of the displacement section, and (IV) spool rotation brake means. The double-bearing type reel is equipped with a backlash preventing device which will not operate in the tensionless state of the fishline after the latter has been cast but which becomes operable after the fishline has been drawn out beyond a given extent.</p> |
