<p>The invention concerns a pulse generator comprising a microwave source (T, 60) which delivers a pulse signal in a compression resonant cavity (15) equipped with a switching device (21) for opening and closing it. The pulse signal is stored in the compression resonant cavity (15) which is then enclosed to be compressed therein before being delivered with higher amplitude and a width less than when the compression resonant cavity (15) is open. The microwave frequency source (T) is of the amplifier type with instantaneous band pass including the resonance frequency of the compression resonant cavity. It receives in input an input signal to be amplified which is derived from the compression resonant cavity (15). The invention is applicable to high power pulse generator.</p> |
