A screening plate (11) is fastened pivoted via hinges directly to the access steps (4) or to the vehicle body. The plate is connected to the cab door (2) via hinge joints (20), so as to cover the step area when the door is closed. The hinge joint is connected to the screening plate when the door is opening and closing, but is detached from it when the door is open. The inside of the plate is covered by a layer of synthetic resin and fiber laminate. The fastening parts of hinges and hinge joints are fastened to door and plate by the same material.
