<p>A system for transmitting images uses a programmable signal source, a transmitter (200) and a portable viewer (100) remote from the transmitter. The viewer includes a screen (102) on which images derived from information at the signal source are to be displayed. The signal source is programmed to derive image data in a format suitable for display on the screen of the viewer from the information at the signal source and provides the derived image data to the transmitter. The transmitter (200) then wirelessly transmits the image data to the viewer for display upon the screen (102). The image data forms a static broadcast of the information at the signal source, which may be a computer, a television or a video camera.</p> |
