The object volume measuring method has the measured object (1) immersed in a liquid container (4), with measurement of the position (X) of the object and the liquid level (S), together with the overall weight of the liquid container with the fully or partially immersed object, or the force (F) exerted by the object on the object holder (2,3,8), for calculation of the volume of part or all of the object, the surface area of cross-sectional planes through the object and/or the object cross-sectional profile. An Independent claim for a liquid displacement object volume measuring device is also included.
