PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to achieve improved efficiency for space utilization by varying the volumetric capacity of refrigerator in accordance with the volume of the commodity to be stored. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body having a freezer compartment and a refrigerating compartment; doors for opening/closing freezer compartment and refrigerating compartment; a fixing unit(60) disposed inside of one of the doors; and a volume varying unit(70) installed to accommodate a commodity to be stored. The volume varying unit includes a first frame(71) and a second frame(72) disposed up and down to have a predetermined height; stopper protrusions(73) disposed in rear of first and second frames, and which get caught at the fixing unit; and a volume varying member(74) having an open upper end attached to the first frame and a lower surface attached to the second frame.
