SEAL AND PROTECTIVE SHIELD

PURPOSE: A seal and protective shield is provided to lengthen useful life of sealing device and reduce cost by preventing an elastomer seal from being brought into contact with the fluid. CONSTITUTION: A seal body part(13) include a second material(12) which is harder on the whole than a first material(10). When viewed in the sectional direction of the seal body part, a shield(25) is arranged on the whole along at least one part of a side part(17) in the transverse direction of the seal body part. The shield is flush with the first material, and an outer peripheral portion of the seal body part is circular and smooth on the whole when viewed in the sectional direction of the seal body part under the non- compressed condition.
