PURPOSE: A scanning optical device is provided to decrease an assembly man-hour by fixing lenses by one leaf spring. CONSTITUTION: A leaf spring is provided with width-directional press parts and height-directional press parts for a first image forming lens, width-directional press parts and height-directional press parts and 50 for a second image forming lens, and a height-directional press part for a cylindrical lens for assembly, each of the lenses are placed at specific positions, then the leaf spring is inserted from above along an unillustrated guide shape part provided above an optical box up to an abutting engagement part, and then two places are fixed with machine screws. The fixed leaf spring presses and fixes the first image forming lens, second image forming lens, and cylindrical lens independently by the respective press parts.
