PURPOSE: A credit card approval system and method is provided to transmit the image data of a credit card owner when approving a credit card transaction, and to display the image data on an LCD or a transaction specification sheet for checking if the user is a legitimate card owner so that it can enhance a security. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a credit card company server(232), a terminal(210), and an image data server(222). The credit card company server(232) inquires into and manages credit state of a credit card owner. The terminal(210) reads credit card data recorded in the credit card according to an operation of a user, requests a credit approval to the image data server(222), receives the approval result and the image data, and displays the image data on the LCD. The image data server(222) stores the image data in a database, transmits the approval request from the terminal to the credit card company server, receives the approval result, searches the image data of the credit card owner in the database, and transmits the searched image data and the approval result to the terminal(210).
