A method for producing a glass-ceramic containing lusite crystals which comprises admixing (1) a glass material containing 53 to 65 wt % of SiO2, 13 to 23 wt % of Al2O3, 9 to 20 wt % of K2O and 6 to 12 wt % of Na2O with (2) a synthetic leucite seed crystal containing 53 to 64 wt % of SiO2, 19 to 27 wt % of Al2O3 and 17 to 25 wt % of K2O, and then subjecting the resultant mixture to a heat treatment at 750 to 950<C for 1 to 5 hr; and a dental porcelain powder and a dental metal-ceramic reparative product which comprise a glass-ceramic prepared by using the method. The dental porcelain powder is substantially free from the decrease of a thermal expansion coefficient and the occurrence of opacification during the operation of fusing it to a metal frame.
