WATER DISINTEGRABLE FIBER SHEET HAVING HIGH STRENGTH AGAINST SURFACE FRICTION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A water disintegrable fiber sheet having a high strength against the surface friction, and a method for manufacturing the sheet are provided to eliminate the problem that a cleaning sheet made of a water disintegrable fiber sheet which is conventionally flushed and discarded lacks balance between water disintegrability and strength. CONSTITUTION: A water disintegrable fiber sheet is formed out of fibers comprising 3 mass percent and more of fibrillated rayon composed of a main body with a specific fiber length and fibrils extending from the main body and having a beating degree of 700cc and less. The fibrils extending from the fibrillated rayon are interlaced with at least either of other fibril and other fiber, and the fiber sheet has a dry surface-friction strength of 3 times over when measured by the JIS P-8136 abrasion resistance testing method. The existence of fibrils leads to improvement in frictional strength on the surface of the fiber sheet.
