A wheel tire (A) is held in place by a rim (B), a clamp ring (C), a conical seat surface (D), and expansion screws, and is hooked-in at two points (E,F). Due this, transverse cracks in both sides of the tire or the clamp ring do not cause the tire to be torn-off, and secure its function. Crack detection is required less often, or may be limited to the rim. The tire may consist of two parts, each with a hook and its own expansion screws. The pretension towards the center of the wheel is slightly larger than the centrifugal force of the tire during max. speed.
