NETWORK STRUCTURE USING HIGH DISPERSION VOLUME HOLOGRAPHY

The invention concerns a network structure using high dispersion volume holography and applicable for instance to pulse compressing and stretching devices. The inventive network structure comprises a transmission volume holographic network (23, 33) produced on a reflecting support (24, 34). Said network consists in strata inclined relative to the support plane, the angle of inclination ( phi ) of the strata defined with respect the normal relative to the support and the pitch of the strata ( LAMBDA ) being selected such that a light beam of specific average wavelength ( lambda 0), incident on said structure with a given angle of incidence ( theta ), should pass a first time through the network, be reflected by the reflecting support, pass a second time through the network and be diffracted by the network only on one of said passages.
