SUBSTRATE CONNECTOR ENABLING TWO PARALLEL SUBSTRATES TO CONNECT EACH OTHER

PURPOSE: A connector for substrates is provided to simplify the process of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel, and to reduce the manufacturing cost of the LCD panel remarkably. CONSTITUTION: A connector comprises plural contacts(32) deformed elastically. The connector is fixed to an insulator(31). Each contact has a U-shaped part(33) and a hair-pin-shaped part(34). A first convex area formed inside each U-shaped part makes contact with each electrode pattern(25) formed on an LCD panel(21) for pressing the LCD panel to the insulator. A second convex area formed outside the hair-pin-shaped area contacts each electrode pattern(26) formed on a main substrate(22) provided in parallel with the LCD panel. The connector having a high durability is provided. Therefore, the process of the LCD panel is simplified and the manufacturing cost is reduced.
