DRIVE CIRCUIT

PURPOSE: A driving circuit is to provide a drive circuit and a method substantially eliminating one or more of problems, such as enlargement of additional physical space and complexity of a circuit, the limitation of the operating speed of an LCD and the like. CONSTITUTION: A drive circuit for driving pixel groups of the LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) includes a plurality of dual path digital/analog converters. Each dual path DAC outputs the analogously deformed voltage and the non-passage voltage of an applied digital signal respectively to output sides of a path A and a path B and changes over these outputs in accordance with a changeover signal. Outputs of respective DACs are applied to paired output transistors so that one transistor each paired transistors is made conductive and the other transistor is made nonconductive during each display cycle. Respective pixel are alternately driven with voltages within voltages of a high side and a low side and driving voltage ranges to be applied to the respective pixels in one display cycle are opposite to voltage ranges to be applied to the most adjacent pixels in the same display period by allowing the respective DACs to make the respective pixels alternately receive driving voltages of the voltage ranges of the high side and the low side.
