PURPOSE: Provided are triazole derivatives, their pharmaceutically acceptable esters and salts thereof which have an excellent antifungal activity. CONSTITUTION: The compound having antifungal activity is represented by the following formula(I): wherein Ar is a phenyl group which may optionally be substituted by from 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms and trifluoromethyl groups. A method for the prophylaxis or treatment of fungal infections in a mammal, especially a human, comprises administering to the mammal an effective amount of the compound having antifungal activity, or a pharmaceutically acceptable ester or salt thereof.
