PURPOSE: A method and a device for automatically recognizing the blood cell are provided to accurately recognize a regular blood cell and immature cell by using a neural circuit network and a statistical recognition. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a microscope stage(20) to put on a blood smear slide(10), a left/right micro-driver(30) to move left/right the stage, a up/down micro-driver(40) to move up/down the stage, a left/right position controller(50) to control the left/right micro-driver, a up/down position controller(60) to control the up/down micro-driver, a microscope(70) to enlarge the image of blood cell, a CCD camera(80) to convert the enlarged image of blood cell into the TV signal, an image input board(90) including an A/D converter, a memory to store the image data, a control and calculation device(110) to recognize the kind of blood cell through the analysis of image data, and a limit switch(120) to limit the moving range of the stage attached to the microscope stage.
