PURPOSE: An EL display device and method of manufacturing the same is provided to prevent the device from becoming reflected, and to realize the EL display device with low costs. CONSTITUTION: The EL display device includes a plurality of cathodes(43) formed in a stripe shape; an EL layer(46) formed over the plurality of cathodes; and a plurality of anodes(47) formed in a stripe shape over the EL layer(46). The plurality of cathodes(43) and the plurality of anodes(47) are arranged so as to be orthogonal to each other; and the surfaces of the plurality of cathodes(46) on the sides closer to the EL layer(46) have textured structures.
