<p>The sender of a message (502) and any attached data files (614) through a computer network (108) can provide the recipient of such a message with a convenient mechanism for replying to the message. For the recipients's convenience, even if the recipient is not a registered user of the message delivery system of the server computer system (104), the sender can permit the recipient to use the same level of security (618) available to the sender and can allow the recipient to reply free of charge. IN addition, the sender can limit the service provided to the recipient with respect to number, addressing, size, formats, security (618) and priority (616) to thereby limit the charges which can accrue to the sender by the recipient's reply. The sender can also restrict post-delivery handling by selectively enabling local saving, printing, forwarding, and replying to the sender's message by any of the recipients of the message.</p> |
