WATER-DISINTEGRABLE FIBROUS SHEET CONTAINING WATER- INSOLUBLE CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a water-disintegrable fibrous sheet having in good balance wet strength and water disintegrability being contradictory to each other. CONSTITUTION: This fibrous sheet comprises water-dispersible fibers and water- insoluble carboxymethyl cellulose; wherein the etherification degree (D.S) of the above carboxymethyl cellulose is 0.3-0.6, and in the carboxymethyl cellulose, the hydrogen atoms in the carboxylic acids constituting the carboxymethyl groups are substituted by metal atoms. This fibrous sheet is excellent in water disintegrability, dry strength and wet strength despite containing substantially no organic solvent or the like which has been contained in conventional fibrous sheets.
