PURPOSE: To enhance work efficiency by lowering viscosity of a neutron shield when it is formed, and maintain the percentage content of hydrogen providing heat resistance and neutron shielding ability in high temperature surroundings over a long period of time after the neutron shield is formed. CONSTITUTION: This neutron shield is formed by blending a double-fluid reacting cold setting epoxy resin having a reactive diluent-including long-chain aliphatic glycigyl etheral epoxy resin as a main agent, and a blend of alicylic polyamine, polamide ailphatic polyamine, and an epoxy adduct, as a hardening agent, high-purity aluminum hydroxide containing soda, an impurity, of 0.07 wt.% or less, and boron carbide. The neutron shield is used as resin 106, 112, 114 of a cask 100.
