PURPOSE: A method for controlling telephone locking of a mobile communication station is provided to prevent drain of personal information stored in the mobile communication station and another person from using the terminal without permission if the mobile station is lost in state of not setting telephone locking function. CONSTITUTION: A base station of a mobile communication system continuously exchanges control signals including a clock signal, a position confirming signal, a telephone receiving and transmitting signal with a mobile station(301). The mobile station continuously receives the control signal transmitted from the base station and judges whether the received control signal is a telephone locking set signal(302). If the signal is a general signal, the mobile station performs the corresponding process according to the general signal(303). If the locking set signal, the mobile station transmits a response signal reporting the receipt of the telephone locking command to a service company via the base station. The service company transmits an admission signal to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal obtains a telephone locking set code of the mobile station set by a user by searching a memory area storing user information(304). The mobile terminal sets up the operation state of the mobile station as telephone locking state(305).
