The mold core, with body and neck, is shaped for the required internal volume. The core is inserted into the mold and suitable plastic is injected, forming the envelope with parallel walls between parallel edges (9). A transverse, common top edge (16) closes the neck. The product is injected into the envelope. The (lower) transverse edge (12) of the body is then welded, forming the flat, bottle-like container. An Independent claim is included for the superficially bottle-shaped container, used to contain a liquid, solvent-based product, such as a cosmetic. Preferred features: Thinned transverse break lines (5a, 6a) are formed into the walls of the neck. Break lines on opposite walls are offset along the axis, forming an applicator bevel on opening. Increased transverse width at the top of the neck forms a grip following welding. Numbers of such containers can be produced side by side, with interconnections (20).
|
