PURPOSE: A system and a method for storing and searching information are provided to enable a user to easily search information by dividing the information into basic words, and by encoding the information subdivided according to unified encoding rules. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(11) inputs information. A CPU(12) subdivides the information inputted through the input unit(11) into basic words and encodes the information. A database(13) stores the information encoded by the CPU(12). A display unit(14) displays the information inputted through the input unit(11). An information storage and search server(10) is connected to the Internet(20). In addition, the information storage and search server(10) includes an interface unit(15) operated under the control of the CPU(12). The server(10) subdivides and encodes words, and constructs a database(13). The database(13) of the server(10) is composed of an operation database(131) which stores data needed to operate an Internet site and a system and a word database(132) which stores the information subdivided and encoded. The CPU(12) includes a site operation unit(121) which operates a site and a system, a data processing unit(122) which subdivides and encodes data inputted through the interface unit(30) and a data search unit(123) which searches information on a search word.
